That TV remote...

That TV remote...

Live from a training in Madrid, Spain.

You know how in some rooms you have to use a TV to share your slides? And you know how that TV sometimes reminds you that if you don't click any button on its remote, it will shut off in the next 15 seconds? Well, OK.

But where's the remote?

Normally, it's left in a visible place and you can react quickly while still communicating with the audience, so that they feel like your presentation continues smoothly.

But what if it's not somewhere visible? Then where is it?

Today I had this case with a customers of ours in Madrid and it took me and one of the people in the group around a minute to find it out. And surprisingly enough it was in something like a hidden compartment at the back of one of the two screens that were configured to work together.

So the next time when you are in such a room, don't forget to not just check for the usual stuff but also for the TV remote. If it's a TV where you'll be using for your slides, of course.
