Revealing the big plans in a big way
United Group is a leading telecommunications and media provider in Southeast Europe. In January 2025 they were preparing to announce a huge investment of €120m in renewable energy projects. The initiative is huge as it includes the development of three solar power plants and a wind farm expected to generate 310,000 megawatt-hours annually — enough to power over 60,000 households.
An announcement like that deserves an event. But not just any event. An event where everything is simply perfect. Yes, including the presentation.
Process
United Group and their PR team came very well prepared for this project and even though we had just 3 weeks to pull this off from start to finish, in the end it was all worth it. We were very excited to see that the event venue they selected was the same we use for our own presentation skills conference. What's more, we were one of the first to use the ultrawide setup there — something the venue now offers to many of its customers, including UG. The ability to create ultrawide slides excited everyone on the team. Once you experience them, going back to the standard 16:9 format feels like stepping back in time...

Storytelling
We started where every great presentation starts. Compared to the work we do for some other customers, this time we didn't have to start from scratch and write the story ourselves. The team at UG had something prepared. We just challenged some of the points and helped them make the whole narrative stronger and more impactful.
The design phase introduced a small challenge, as the UG brand primarily uses bright tones. But the event took place in a dark room, and we also wanted to create a more immersive experience for the audience. So we switched to a dark theme. We designed a few test slides and sent them to the venue to confirm not only that the proportions were correct, but also how the slides would work alongside the projections planned for the side walls. Once the tests were done, the verdict was clear: this was the right direction. From there, we continued developing the rest of the slides with this design approach in mind.
Our team decided to mix various approaches. From automated slides that move after a specific time to slight yet elegant movements with the help of custom Motion Paths. Last but not at least, the Morph transition was utilized to bring specific elements on and off some of the slides.
Event day was special but not for the reasons you might be thinking. In this project we had to work side by side with the AV team. Why? Because the presenters asked if someone else could handle the slide transitions for them. With time running short, a member of our team worked together with someone from the UG team to make sure every transition during the live event was perfectly timed.
The results
Every major media outlet covered the event. No exception. The amount of noise this talk created is hard to quantify, but we’ll leave you with this: we deliver numerous corporate trainings for many of the top brands in the country — and beyond. In the 3 months after the event, every time we asked during one of our courses whether anyone had heard about the announcement, more than 80% of the students in each group already knew about it. That alone speaks for itself.
Imagine the surprise on their faces when we tell them that it was us behind the presentation. Woooops!
